DANNY EATHER RETURNED AS LEADER OF BUSINESS SINGLETON.
Business Singleton held its Annual General Meeting in conjunction with its Business Breakfast Thursday 5th October 2023 at the horse and Jockey Hotel, where in which Danny Eather was re-elected as Chamber President.
In presenting his annual report Mr Eather acknowledged that the past 12 months has been challenging for local business.
"The ongoing impact of the pandemic have been felt with high inflation, strain on supply chains, high demand for skilled workers and daily economic pressures on customer reducing the purchasing capacity."
"Then there is the emotional toll that our community has endured as a result of unprecedented tragedies which have gripped our community this past 12 months" Mr Eather added.
Despite these challenges, Business Singleton has remained committed to supporting our members and promoting economic growth in the Singleton region and will do so in the coming year.
"We will continue to advocate for our businesses and be the voice calling for a plan, transparency, additional funding, and support for diversification of our local economy.” Mr Eather reaffirmed.
Joining Mr Eather for the 23/24 Board of Directors are Anita White (Vice President), Kerril Hoswell (Secretary), Carissa Greene (Treasurer). And committee members, Tash Howard – Core Pilates Studio, Maxine Smith – Quality Care, Norma Burri – iSimplify, Paul Enwright – CPR Pest Management, and Alexandra Macaulay – Dorade Pty Ltd. The first meeting of the new committee will be held on the 14th November, at which point they will commence planning for the year ahead continuing to build on the achievements of the past year.
