BHP - In June 2022 following a review of all available options, BHP made the decision to cease mining at Mt Arthur Coal in 2030 as part of a responsible pathway to closure for the operation. NSW Energy Coal Vice President Liz Watts will provide an update on Mt Arthur Coal’s pathway to 2030 and the next steps towards closure.
Daracon - Hear from Andrew Forbes to learn more about Daracon Group’s latest projects across the Hunter Valley, including the newly reopened Ardglen Quarry – which is supplying construction materials for local and council projects. Plus an update about Daracon’s newest batch plant based at Mt Thorley, local employment opportunities, community support and more, including how they’ve been celebrating 40 years of shaping the region.
